Free Cyber Security Webinar: Understanding Safeguarding and Leadership Responsibilities
Schools hold some of the most sensitive information in the public sector, making them an attractive target for cyber criminals. In the last 12 months, well over half of all primary and secondary schools identified a cyber breach or attack.
Beyond the operational disruption of cyber incidents, schools have a responsibility to protect the personal information of pupils, staff and families, and to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to keep children safe online.
The Department for Education’s Digital and Technology Standards identify cyber security as a core requirement for schools and colleges, which now forms part of leadership, governance and safeguarding responsibility.
To help schools better understand their responsibilities and access practical support, Schools Broadband has partnered with the South East Cyber Crime Unit, to deliver a free webinar focused on cyber security, digital safeguarding and the DfE standards.
