MAT VoIP Phone Services
Unify trust-wide communications, reduce costs, enhance operational performance.

Save on Costs, Centralise Management, Enhance Security
From January 2027, traditional PSTN phone lines will be switched off, creating an opportunity for MATs to unify their trust-wide communications, reduce costs and enhance operational performance.
Every organisation in the country will need to switch to a VoIP phone service or lose the ability to make and receive calls.
Switching to a service that is designed specifically for Multi Academy Trusts, removes the need for costly hardware across individual academies, allows central, more efficient management of phone services and removes multiple line rental fees paid by separate schools. This single, centralised VoIP system provides economies of scale, centralised procurement and improved communication efficiencies.
The Schools Broadband VoIP Phone Service also improves Trust-wide safety and security standards with its powerful VoIP-based lockdown and security alerts.

Get Ready for the PSTN Switch-Off
The Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) switch-off is well underway with a rolling “End of Life” programme running throughout 2024-2026. The programme ends in January 2027 when all areas will be switched. If your school does not already use a VoIP service, you will need to start planning your switchover now.
