In a bid to support Zarach and its mission to end bed poverty among children, a dedicated team from Talk Straight will participate in the Inflatable 5K obstacle course at Harewood House, near Leeds, on Saturday, 29th June.
This dynamic event will see Sallie Bewell (People Manager), John Standhaven (Sales Manager), Victor Josi (Sales Support) and Gabby Keating (Credit Controller) tackling the challenging course. Making it a true family affair, John’s children, Ella and James, along with Sallie’s teenage son, Oscar, will also join the team.
Zarach is a charity committed to delivering beds and bundles to children, providing immediate relief from bed poverty. This impactful initiative lifts a significant financial burden from families, offering support that can last for many years. A bed provided to a child as they start school can accompany them through their entire primary education, greatly enhancing their ability to engage in school and promoting their physical, emotional, and learning development.
“We are thrilled to be taking part in this exciting event to support Zarach,” said Sallie Bewell. “Every bed we help provide makes a huge difference in a child’s life, giving them a better chance to thrive both academically and personally.”
The team is aiming to raise over £600, contributing to the company’s ambitious £3,000 fundraising target for Zarach. These funds will be crucial in helping more children escape the hardships of bed poverty, ensuring they have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
“We believe in Zarach’s mission and are committed to helping as many children as possible,” said John Standhaven. “The Inflatable 5K is a fun way to raise awareness and funds for such a vital cause.”
